Six-Week Internship
Meet a Ukrainian educator who has been to the United States as an exchange teacher and spent six weeks there!
Victor Khorishko, an English teacher of the medico-biological lyceum in Luhansk, Ukraine,
took part in "Partners in Education" program in the fall of 1999.
I would like to share some useful material which I have brought from the United States and some material from my school
experience.
Thanks to the participation in this US-Ukraine program I could improve my computer skills.
I met many American counterparts and travelled in the state of Wisconsin.
I also visited Dorothy, an old friend of mine in Virginia, who had visited Luhansk and Luhansk region in
1989 as a teacher leader with a large community of American students from Fairfax County, VA.
We, ten participants from Luhansk region, had an orientation seminar and debriefing in Washington D.C. at "American Councils", at St.Norbert
College, De Pere, WI. I had the chance of delivering presentations at my host school - Notre Dame Academy,
a private Catholic school in Green Bay.
